Neon Block challenges players to fit random block configurations on an 8x8 grid. If you run out of space to place any of your active blocks, it's game over. Scoring high requires careful grid preservation and planning for combo clearances.

Here are strategies to maintain a clean board and maximize points.

1. Leave Space for Large Blocks

The most common reason for losing in block puzzles is forgetting about large pieces:

• Always keep an open 2x2 square and a 3x1 line slot available on your board.
• If you fill the grid completely leaving only scattered single-cell gaps, you will immediately lose when a large piece spawns.
• Place large blocks first, and use smaller single blocks to plug gaps and complete lines.

2. Multi-Line Combo Bonuses

Clearing a single line awards basic points. However, clearing multiple rows or columns simultaneously grants massive combo score multipliers:

• Align blocks to complete lines both horizontally and vertically at the same time.
• Set up 'nested' configurations where placing one final block triggers a double or triple line clear.

3. Corner and Border Anchoring

Place blocks starting from corners and borders, working your way inwards. This keeps the center of the grid open and flexible for new shapes, ensuring you always have a wide range of placement options.
